Trouble in Leeds

Summer visitors to the Mill River in Leeds make a lot of noise and parking congestion. More troubling than that, they are using the bike path and to some extent the Yankee Hill neighborhood as their garbage dump and public toilet. Unfortunately, the city government, and Ward 7 Counselor Rachel Maiore in particular, have chosen to write this off as trivial and refused to enforce laws or the rules set by the city for public use. People invest their life savings in their homes and pay significant taxes to live in them and we deserve greater consideration for our ability to enjoy living in them and for our quality of life in general.
