GRANBY — The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office identified the sole driver in an early Saturday morning fatal crash in Granby as Dylan Weiss, 25, of Chicopee.
Police and firefighters were dispatched to the area of 133 School St. at about 2 a.m. following a report of a single motor-vehicle crash.
According to a statement released by the DA’s, the vehicle is believed to have been traveling south on School Street when it left the roadway, struck a utility pole and came to a stop in a wooded area along the side of the roadway.
Weiss was pronounced dead at the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
The crash remains under investigation by the State Police Detective Unit, Granby Police, and State Police crash reconstruction and crime scene specialists.
