WESTHAMPTON — A driver received minor injuries in a one-car rollover crash at the intersection of North and Chesterfield roads on Tuesday at around 10:15 a.m.
The woman was the only occupant of the vehicle, a Ford Explorer, traveling northbound on Chesterfield Road, according to Westhampton Deputy Fire Chief John Bridgman.
The driver sustained minor injures to her hand Bridgman said, declining to comment on how the rollover occurred. The Westhampton Fire Department responded, along with State Police.
“She got lucky,” Bridgman said, noting that the driver’s injuries were not serious.
Bridgman said responders helped the woman exit the vehicle after it rolled over and landed on its side. A section of North Road was temporarily closed right after the crash occurred, but Bridgman said it would be reopened shortly at approximately 10:45 a.m.
“Luckily, it’s a country road, so there hasn’t been much traffic,” he said.
