President Trump’s partisan Supreme Court recently ruled that Republican operatives at the U.S. departments of Homeland Security and Justice may block voters across the U.S. using an inaccurate database of voters created in part through illegal impersonation by such operatives to steal private voting records from states. Trump and his agents say they are fighting against voting by huge numbers of undocumented immigrants. But multiple investigations have proved that this problem is a complete fantasy. There is no evidence showing that noncitizens have voted in more than a few isolated cases.
Republicans know they cannot win a fair election because their government of the last two years has been a fiasco. So they are taking every possible action to block a fair election this fall.
This court decision calls on every one of us to do three things. First, vote and encourage everyone you know to vote for Democrats in Congress and state races Nov. 3 because that is the only possible block to the permanent corruption of Trump’s Republicans. Second, donate today to the Movement Voter Project (https://movement.vote/) to help it organize nationwide at the grassroots to get out the vote and, as necessary, to resist Trump’s election interference. Third, if Trump succeeds in stealing this election, get ready to mobilize and act by any and all peaceful means starting Nov. 4 to restore the rightful election result.
