Edward A. Driscoll Jr.

HADLEY, MA – Edward A. Driscoll Jr., 73, of Hadley, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026, after a brief illness. Ed was born August 31, 1953, in Florence, the son of the late Edward A. Driscoll and Helen M. (Jason) Driscoll. Ed was raised in Florence and was a graduate of Northampton High School and Westfield State College.

He spent more than thirty years working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Trial Court in the Probation Service, eventually serving as Regional Administrator before his retirement. Outside of work, Ed was a lifelong Red Sox fan and loved listening to the Beatles and Elvis Presley and sitting outside on the deck on summer evenings, particularly when a thunderstorm rolled through. Ed was predeceased by his brother, Michael Driscoll.

He is survived by his sister, Patricia Kochin, and her husband, Kurt, of Haydenville; his children, Ryan, Shannon, and Kate Driscoll; Ryan’s wife, Charlotte; and their children, Leo and Chloe. Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Brianna R. Barbosa-Angles and the nursing staff at Cooley Dickinson Hospital for the kindness, compassion, and exceptional care they gave our father in his final days. All services will be private.
