Yarmouth Port, MA – Barbara Laband, 88, of Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, passed away on September 20, 2026.
Barbara was born on January 15, 1938, to Marion and Robert Harlow. She was a graduate of Northampton High School and spent much of her career as an accountant, working for the family business as well as smaller accounting firms.
Barbara lived in Northampton, Massachusetts, before retiring to Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts. She also wintered in Port Charlotte, Florida. She enjoyed golfing, spending time at the beach, traveling, and, most of all, being with her grandchildren and family. The time she shared with those she loved was especially meaningful to her, and she created many cherished memories along the way.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jerry Harlow, and her husband, Dr. Peter Laband.
She is survived by her children, Beverly LaBonte (Bruce) of Florida and Jeffrey Parsons (Carol) of Massachusetts; her stepchildren, Andrew Laband, Beth Painter, David Laband, and Dr. Paul Laband; her brother, Jack Harlow of Idaho; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Barbara will be remembered for the deep love she had for her family, the joy she found in golf, the beach, and traveling, and the warmth she brought to the many moments she shared with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. Her memory will remain a treasured part of the lives of all who knew and loved her.
At Barbara’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Her burial will be private and attended by family.
