Trust is something that is best earned over time. Lori Streeter has spent 31 years building up trust and credibility in her work with residents at the Franklin County Jail and House of Correction.

It’s not uncommon for workers these days to hold many jobs over three decades. Streeter performed many different jobs too, but all of them at the same Elm Street address in Greenfield. She has spent more time at that location than most of the hundreds of residents she has worked with.

Streeter’s work has helped hundreds of people successfully reenter the community with the skills and right attitudes they need to stay in the community.

Nov. 3 is my chance to thank Lori Streeter for the work she has done helping to build positive community reintegration for so many people we now call neighbors.
