When responsible gun owners are asked for suggestions to improve gun safety, they usually recommend the strict enforcement of current gun laws. Since 2024, we have had a law on the books that should be strictly enforced. On Nov. 3, we will be asked whether the law should be retained (vote “yes”) or repealed (vote “no”). At the present time, absent more creative proposals from the “gun lobby,” the existing law, passed by the Legislature, signed by the governor, and now in effect, is the best protection we have. Vote “yes” on Question 9.
