Recently, I opened my online bank statement to find that I received Donald Trump’s $90 Medicare payment. I don’t need the $90, and my vote is certainly not for sale.

What I need is my tax dollars helping provide a competent federal government not the blatantly corrupt one we are enduring now. I need a leader who is interested in America and the American people rather than enriching himself and his family. A president who spends billions of taxpayer dollars on healthcare and education rather than billions starting and fighting an endless foreign war. A war based on little or poor planning and foresight.

I need an administration and a president who keeps election promises, like releasing the Epstein Files rather than protecting pedophiles and their rich friends. Working to reduce inflation needs to take priority over Trump’s vanity monuments. And who’s paying for these vanity monuments? We need a leader of this great country who is respected both nationally and internationally. Our current president and his chosen cabinet are not respected.

My first instinct was to send the $90 back to the Social Security office that distributed the money. But on second thought, this is my money paid through taxes, so I’ll be sending it to my favorite charity.
