Florence, MA – Edwin “Ted” Charles Addis died peacefully on October 25, surrounded by his children, daughter-in-law, and caretaker.
Ted was born in Northampton on August 7, 1931 to Charles Hillier Addis and Edith Rosewarne Addis.
Except for time in school and the military, he lived in the same neighborhood in Florence his entire life.
On December 28, 1963, he married Betty Jane Dewey of Florence, who passed from this life in 2008. Ted leaves a daughter Mariel of Florence, her former wife Cynthia Voisine and her sons Benjamin Voisine-Addis and Caleb Voisine-Addis, and a son Craig of Florence, his wife Susan, their daughter Megan and son Gareth.
The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Sahd and his staff along with the staff at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, CDH VNA, and CDH Hospice for their kindness and care.
Calling hours will be at Czelusniak Funeral Home in Northampton Tuesday, November 3rd from 4-7 PM. A service of remembrance will be held at First Churches in Northampton Wednesday, November 4th at 10 AM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
