LEVERETT — A school bus transporting children to Leverett Elementary School and a passenger car collided at the intersection of Route 63 and Juggler Meadow Road Thursday morning. No injuries were reported, according to Leverett police.
In a Facebook post, the department said the bus was pulling out of Juggler Meadow Road to cross the state highway at 7:38 a.m. when the crash occurred.
Amherst Fire Department personnel evaluated everyone in both vehicles. All children on the bus were reunited with their parents and caregivers at the scene.
Sunderland police, Leverett and Amherst fire departments and Massachusetts State Police also assisted with the response.
The car was towed by Ernie’s Towing. The bus sustained significant damage but was driven from the scene.
“We thank all responding agencies for their assistance,” the department wrote.
The crash remains under investigation.
