AMHERST – A 42-year-old man from the Indian Orchard section of Springfield was arrested Wednesday evening after causing a disturbance outside a downtown store and inside a downtown restaurant, police said.
Dennis M. Lamoureux was taken into custody following reports at 6:43 p.m. that he was banging on the windows of the CVS Pharmacy, 76 North Pleasant St., and screaming at people, said Detective Christina Knightly.
Lamoureux fled and was found a short time later at The Works restaurant, 48 North Pleasant St., where he was being disruptive, Knightly said.
He was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and possession of a Class B drug (crack cocaine), Knightly said.
