Belchertown senior Alec Morgado returned from an ankle injury to reunite with Dennis Lelic at first doubles for the boys tennis team.
The pairing had some rust Tuesday, but was still strong in a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Zach Dion and Ryan Graham of Agawam.
The win was a key part of Belchertown’s 3-2 home victory that clinched the Valley Wheel championship.
“They looked like they haven’t played together in a while,” Orioles coach Zach Siano said. “This was their first tune-up match. We have some things we need to work on going forward. They have a tough match against Quaboag’s first doubles on Thursday.”
The Orioles swept doubles. Sean McCarthy and Mike Laughner were perfect against Liam Sole and PJ Fisk.
Noah Pare beat Zack Quick 6-1, 6-1 at third singles for the Orioles (14-2, 8-0 Valley Wheel).
