Four players had two goals apiece as the Amherst College women’s lacrosse team cruised past Springfield, 20-1, Wednesday.
Claire Dunbar scored the first two goals and the Mammoths (2-0) rolled from there in Springfield.
Katherine Malone, Maia Noyes and Hannah Gustafson also scored a pair each. Becky Kendall had three goals, while Isabelle Sennett (goal) had three assists.
Kate Sarnacki (Granby) had six shots but couldn’t find the net for the Pride (2-2).
Western New England 20, Smith 7 — Mercedes Wooolley, Bella Ferraro and Kaitlin Chiu each had two goals for the visiting Pioneers (1-2).
Westfield State 21, Mount Holyoke 16 — Abby Baldwin (Florence) scored a career-high eight goals but the Lyons (2-2) fell at home.
Lucy Stone added three goals and one assists. Baldwin also had nine draw controls, two caused turnovers and three ground balls.
