WORCESTER (AP) — A Worcester man is facing charges after allegedly threatening another man with a machete during what police are calling a case of road rage.

Aldo Rivera is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on charges including threatening to commit a murder.

Police say the 41-year-old Rivera was driving behind another vehicle at about 2 p.m. Tuesday when traffic slowed because a nearby school was letting out. Police say Rivera tailgated the other vehicle, and the drivers exchanged hand gestures and profanities. When the other driver pulled over to let him pass, police say Rivera pulled over, took a machete from his trunk, and punched the other driver.

Rivera denied threatening the other driver, but police say they found a machete in his car along with his two teenage children.
