After missing last season with a torn ACL, senior Marissa Badorini returned to field hockey with two goals and an assist Tuesday, as Northampton beat Holyoke, 3-0, on the road in its season opener.
Elly MacDonald scored her first varsity goal, while Shea Crowther also had an assist.
Northampton kept most of the possession in Holyoke’s half, so goalies Sarah Grimaldi and Ella Moreau didn’t have to make any saves for the Blue Devils (1-0)
Turners Falls 3, Easthampton 0 — Freshman libero Skylar Raskevitz picked up 10 digs in her varsity debut, a 25-20, 25-18, 25-13 road loss.
