Part of Pine Street in Amherst to be closed for roadwork

AMHERST — A section of Pine Street between Henry Street and the entrance to Hypotenuse Way, across from the Cushman Market & Cafe, will be closed to through traffic daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Tuesday.

The road closure is part of a road reconstruction project being undertaken by work crews from Warner Brothers of Sunderland.

Also as part of the work, including adding drainage, crews will be adjusting structures on Pine Street east from its intersection with Bridge Street.

Vehicles will be detoured from Pine Street onto Bridge Street, Market Hill Road and Henry Street.

Construction is expected to last several weeks.
