EASTHAMPTON — Police are looking for a white Volkswagen Passat that was stolen Monday morning.
Officer Chad Alexander said the Easthampton Police Department received a call at 7:34 a.m. Monday reporting a vehicle with the license plate number 3YE717 had been stolen from a driveway on St. James Avenue.
Alexander said officers believe the incident may be related to a call earlier Monday morning at 4:48 a.m. on Knight Avenue where a resident called to report a man had tried to break into his car.
Prior to calling the police, the resident ran out of his home and chased the suspect in the direction of nearby St. James Avenue, Alexander said.
Both incidents are still under investigation.
