The Northampton Community Rowing youth team brought home two silver medals at the ninth New England Junior and High School Regional Championship Regatta at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Sunday.

Gus Lelievre and Ethan Grant, both from Northampton High School, placed second out of four boats competing in the Men’s High School Double race.

The Women’s High School Novice 8 placed second out of 19 boats. Rowers Julia Albro-Fisher (Northampton H.S.), Emma Becker (Northampton H.S.), Charlotte Bourne (JFK Middle School), Maria Konieczny (Amherst Regional Middle School), Paige Lech (Hampshire Regional), Ella Lepine (Northampton H.S.), Meghan Costin Shaw (Northampton H.S.), Zoe Paradis Stern (Hampshire Regional), Greta Stekl (Amherst Regional), and coxswain William Konieczny (Smith Vocational) finished the 2-mile course 52 seconds out from the lead.

The Women’s Varsity Quad placed fourth with rowers Adrenne Albro-Fisher (Northampton H.S.), Saige Harper (Easthampton H.S.), Renee Lussier (Northampton H.S.) and Abby Paquette (Northampton H.S.).

Other boats entered were a Men’s Varsity 4+, a Women’s Novice 4+ and 2 Women’s Varsity 4+’s.
