The Williston girls cross country team placed seventh out of 15 teams with 216 points at the NEPSTA Division 2 championship, Saturday in Marion.

Abigail Touhey (Florence) was 30th in 20:29 for the Wildcats. Natalie Aquadro (Northampton) was 38th in 20:58 and Claire Harrison (Conway) was 44th (21:13).

South Hadleyโ€™s Maya Soley (51st, 21:26), Granbyโ€™s Anna Richardson (53rd, 21:31), Southamptonโ€™s Chloe Prouty (56th, 21:44) and Williamsburgโ€™s Emma Gould (60th, 22:02) also competed.

Boys cross country

NEPSTA Division 2 championship โ€” Nick Hill was eighth, Billy Ashenden 17th and Tyler Ashenden 19th as Williston placed fifth Saturday in Marion.

Football

Brunswick 52, Williston 12 โ€” Quarterback Ian Ostberg (Florence) threw for 244 yards and two touchdowns but the visiting Wildcats (1-7, 1-6 Erickson) dropped their season finale Saturday.

Receiver Austin Ryan had six catches for 113 yards and a touchdown, while Nate Balthazard had four catches for 102 yards and a touchdown.

Alex Gold led the way with 10 tackles. Elijah Hutchinson forced two fumbles.

Boys soccer

Northfield Mount Hermon 4, Williston 0 โ€” The Wildcats honored seniors Issei Nakano, Justin Park, Sebi Herrera, George Lantz, Soma Mizobuchi and Saul Blain Saturday.

Girls soccer

Northfield Mount Hermon 1, Williston 1 โ€” Caroline DeFiore scored for the Wildcats, who finished their season with the draw at home Saturday.

Boys water polo

Hopkins Invitational โ€” Williston closed its season on the road with a 6-5 loss to Canterbury and a 21-10 win over Wilbraham Monson.

David Fitch (Conway) finished with a combined seven goals, while Noah DeVos made 20 saves over both games.
