EASTHAMPTON — Josue Medina, 42, of New Britain, Connecticut, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol Thursday night after his vehicle allegedly collided with an Easthampton police cruiser.

At approximately 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Easthampton police attempted to stop Medina for driving erratically, according to a police report.

The vehicle then struck a police cruiser on Holyoke Street next to East Green Street, police said. All officers and occupants of the vehicle were transported to local hospitals for evaluation, the report stated.

Medina was charged with operating under the influence of drugs and alcohol, among other charges. A police report stated he was to be arraigned in Northampton District Court on Friday.
