Allsport Arena in Northampton is hosting its Allsport Cup 3v3 Soccer Tournament on Saturday, March 28, looking to raise $10,000 for its Community Scholarship Fund.

The fund is in place to give both youth and adult athletes an indoor venue to play at throughout the cold months. Each year, Allsport distributes roughly $17,000 in scholarships and financial assistance, with a large portion coming from the 3v3 Cup.

“When itโ€™s dark at 4:30 and everyoneโ€™s a little stir-crazy, having a place to move, compete, and belong matters,” Allsport Arena’s owner Jeff Mackler said in a media release. “Sports donโ€™t just burn calories โ€” they burn stress. They build confidence. They give kids and adults something positive to plug into all winter.”

At the 3v3 Cup, age ranges span throughout three youth levels (U9/10, U11/12 and U13/14), along with both recreational and competitive adult divisions. The event will feature fast, guaranteed matches in a single-elimination bracket for the top teams.

Youth winners of the tournament will be awarded jerseys and trophies, while the competitive adult champions will take home $600 in Allsport credit and $200 for the recreational adult champions.

Teams will consist of 3-6 players, with registration closing on Thursday, March 26, at midnight or when all spots are sold out. Youth games will begin in the afternoon, with the adults taking the field in the early evening.

Previous years have generated approximately $7,000, raising funds to support the people of Ukraine and a Holyoke nonprofit serving local youth. This time around, the event’s organizers are hoping to raise $10,000 this year to expand the arenaโ€™s scholarship program.

Costumes are encouraged at Saturday’s tournament, with music and high energy hopefully paving the way to a fun time for all ages, along with a successful fundraiser. For registration and details, visit: www.allsportsoccer.com/3v3.
