HATFIELD — Many incumbents, along with a handful of newcomers, have gotten nomination papers to run for elective office at the May 19 town election, with some already returning them in advance of Tuesday’s deadline.
So far, those who have gotten their papers back to the town clerk’s office are Timothy Menz for a three-year seat on the Board of Health, and Marsha Humphrey for a three-year term as library trustee.
Incumbents who have pulled papers are Christy Boudreau for a three-year term on School Committee, Robert Betsold for a three-year term as moderator, Douglas Finn for a five-year term on the Planning Board, James Lavallee for a three-year seat on the Board of Assessors, Jonathan Bardwell for a three-year position on the Cemetery Commission, and Alaina Wilcox, for both a three-year term as town clerk and a one-year position as elector under the Oliver Smith Will.
A newcomer who has pulled and returned papers is Tania V. Menz, for a two-year term on the School Committee, while Julia Frisby has pulled papers for a three-year term on the Select Board, a position held by Gregory Gagnon, and Nancy Potvin has pulled papers for a three-year term on the School Committee, a position held by Rebecca Bench.
No one has yet pulled papers for a five-year position on the Housing Authority, held by Alex Malinowski.
