South Hadley, MA – With broken hearts, we announce that Olivia Nicole Hann, 19, of South Hadley, passed away on March 26, 2026. She was the cherished daughter of Shannon Carey and Robert Hann. She also leaves her beloved brother Joshua Hann, dear half-siblings Rob and Kristen Hann, devoted best friend Chloe Andle, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles, who will all miss her bright light and the way her bubbly personality lit up the room.
Liv was a smart, talented, and creative young woman who loved reading, playing the piano and guitar, and creating beautiful and playful pieces of art. Everything she touched, she transformed into something more beautiful.
Liv was a driven and ambitious student who graduated a year early from the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter School in South Hadley. She attended the University of Vermont and Boston University, where she was a Dean’s List student and was set to graduate in just three years. Her academic passions were linguistics and foreign languages. Liv was an accomplished French speaker and was avidly looking forward to studying Italian during an exciting semester abroad she had planned for the fall.
Liv loved the theater, and she was captivated with the technical backstage work where she helped coordinate the million little details that ensure a production comes together seamlessly. Most recently, she worked on two shows at Boston University, as the Stage Manager for the Stage Troupe and as the Co-Technical Director for the BU On Broadway spring production. She also served in varying technical roles in theater productions in high school and with the Amherst Community Theater.
Liv’s sudden passing has left a deep sense of loss among her family, friends, classmates at BU, and loved ones. She carried a beautiful spirit within her, along with dreams that will continue to live on in those who knew her.
Calling hours will be Friday, April 10th from 5-7 pm at Beers & Story Funeral Home in South Hadley. A short service will follow, with time provided for friends and family to share memories of Liv.
