AMHERST — Savannas Bar and Bistro, which opened in a new building at 40 University Drive two years ago, closed Thursday.
The business made the announcement on its website and social media channels.
“We want to thank the Amherst community for your support and are grateful for the reception you gave us; it was our pleasure to serve you and continue to be a part of the community we love. We look forward to seeing you in the future.”
Savannas was opened by owner Aaron Jolly, whose family previously ran the The Pub, in business for more than 51 years when it closed at the end of 2019, and Rafters Sports Bar & Restaurant, which had a 30-year run before closing to make away for a marijuana dispensary.
