Ed Markey is too old
I am a retired UMass professor. I am 84 years old. I would be the first to admit that I am not nearly as cognitively sharp as I once was. And I would certainly admit that I do not have the physical attributes that one needs to engage in a demanding profession. Ed Markey is 80 years old. If he wins this election he will be 86. Do Massachusetts voters really want a senator that is likely to end up like Mitch McConnel, absent from the needs of his state, or perhaps even worse, displaying the senility of our current president. Ed Markey has had a commendable career that we should applaud. Let’s let him retire with our justified thanks.
