GRANBY — A 25-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the area of 133 School St. early Saturday morning.
According to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, an initial investigation indicates that the vehicle was traveling south on School Street at around 2 a.m. when it left the roadway, struck a utility pole and came to rest in a wooded area along the side of the road.
The 25-year-old driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the DA’s office. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
The crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section and the Granby Police Department.
