EASTHAMPTON — A 21-year-old woman was killed in a single motor vehicle crash early Friday morning, after the vehicle hit a guardrail by the Park Street rotary near Mountain View School in Easthampton, according to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office.
The woman was one of two passengers. The vehicle’s driver and a second passenger were transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield for evaluation and treatment, according to a statement from the DA’s office.


First responders were dispatched at approximately 1:15 a.m. for the crash, with a preliminary investigation indicating that the vehicle was traveling on Park Street when it struck a guardrail and ultimately came to rest in the backyard of a home, according to the statement. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
The crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the DA’s office, the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the Easthampton Police Department.
