Hamp High Band
Just wanted to shout out to the Northampton High School Marching Band for their performance at the Amherst College/Middlebury College football game this past Saturday. It was a picture-perfect fall New England day and the band made it even more enjoyable. Not only did the band play well at halftime but their creativity and coordination were really fun to watch by football fans and proud relatives. On top of that, the game was evenly matched (Amherst survived) with perhaps the best play-by-play announcer in all of sports — kudos to him and his spotter. Finally, thanks to Amherst College for providing the opportunity for the band and hosting these games. The field and its setting are beautiful and located just off the Norwottuck Rail Trail, and get this? Free of charge!
