The Northampton golf team split a pair of matches Wednesday.
The Blue Devils beat Chicopee Comp, 17-7, but lost to rival Amherst Regional, 14½-9½, at Northampton Country Club.
Asa Geller earned match medalist with a 6-over 42 out of the No. 2 position. Geller beat Chicopee Comp’s Carter Brunelle and Amherst’s Eli Kayser-Hirsh, both by the score of 3½-½.
Northampton freshman Camille Richmond won both of her No. 1 matches. Richmond beat Derek Boutin, of Comp, 3½-½, and Amherst’s Evan Rutherford, 2½-1½.
Amherst beat Northampton behind strong play from the middle of its lineup.
Piet Hartman beat Jason Cooper, 4-0 at No. 3. Ben Oates beat Evan Yurko, 3½-½, at No. 4 and Skyler Ferro swept four points from Wilson Heath.
