SPRINGFIELD – The Reverend William D. Byrne was ordained as the 10th Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield, with Cardinal Sean O’Malley, Archbishop of Boston, as the principal consecrator, at St. Michael’s Cathedral in Springfield on Monday.
