Recipient of a fiction grant by the National Endowment for the Arts and the author of five novels, including most recently “The Inner Sea,” Northampton’s Zane Kotker has been praised for the elegance and wit of both her fiction and nonfiction writing.
On Saturday, Kotker will be at White Square Books in Easthampton to read from “Goodnight, Ladies,” her tale about three women who have turned 70 and don’t know what to do about it. Fellow novelist Anita Shreve describes it as “a haunting novella of linked stories [that] illuminates the anguish of aging, the solace of memories, and the harrowing business of living alone. Kotker’s characters are spot-on believable and full of a just-bearable pathos.”
