MUSICAL CROSSROADS
Wu Man, the renowned Chinese pipa player who now lives in California, has been celebrated for years for introducing her lute-like instrument to Western audiences. On Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the UMass Fine Arts Center, she’ll join the Shanghai Quartet to play a mix of Mozart, traditional Chinese folk music, and new arrangements of scores from modern Chinese films such as “Farewell My Concubine.” fac.umass.edu
