CREDIT REPORTS – Credit report assistance Tuesday from 9 a.m to noon. Amherst S.A.L.T. Council (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) and members of the police department will assist seniors with running their credit reports online.

Using the secure computers and Internet connection in the Senior Center, participants will learn how to access the database to print out a copy of their credit report.

This event is free and pre-registration is not required.

TAX PREPARATION — AARP tax-aide volunteers will be providing free tax return preparation Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through April 14. Call to schedule an appointment.

BRIDGE —Wednesdays, noon to 4 p.m.

NAME THAT TUNE — Sing-along with Steve is held the first and third Mondays of the month from 11 to 11:45 a.m. in the large activity room.

BLOOD PRESSURE CLINICS —Tuesdays, 9 to 10 a.m. in the Garrabrants room. Free. Appointments not needed.

EVENING MOVIE – The center will be showing one new release movie a month.  “Spotlight” will be shown on April 14 at 6 p.m. Feel free to bring your own movie snack.

EASTER BONNET CONTEST – As a child, did you wear a new chapeau for the spring holiday?

Please bring a photo of yourself wearing your bonnet in an envelope to the Enrichment Center with your name written on it. We will display the photos through April and draw one name to win a gourmet candy basket on May 1.

If you don’t have a photo of yourself, make your own bonnet and wear it to the Enrichment Center. We will take your photo here and post it along with the others for a chance to win.

SENIORS BRUNCH –Join the Helping Hand Society for its annual catered breakfast April 10 from 9:30 to 11 a.m, including juice, fruit cup, scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries and homemade pastries. Reservations not necessary. If you require transportation, please call the Enrichment Center at 527-6151 no later than 4 p.m. April 6. Van cost $3.

BRAIN HEALTH WORKSHOP – April 14, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nutrition, exercise and other brain- healthy habits can reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s, MCI, and other neurodegenerative diseases. A brain healthy luncheon will be provided. Limited to 50 participants. Easthampton 60+ has a priority. Suggested $10 donation for Easthampton 60+. Cost for out-of-town residents and under 60 is $25, payable in advance. Call for further information.

TAX ASSISTANCE — AARP tax-aide volunteers will be providing free income tax return preparation Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. until April 15, by appointment only.

TRANQUILITY ROOM —Fridays by appointment. Includes bio-mat heat therapy, mindful books on our E-reader, head phones and music. Come relax and soak in the quiet. Call to pre-register.

EMERGENCY FUND — Emergency assistance is available to Easthampton residents 60 years of age an older experiencing financial difficulties. Contact outreach workers Holly or Brendan at 527-6151.

FOOD PANTRY —Sunday, noon to 1 p.m. at the Most Holy Redeemer Church. Fill a bag, no paperwork or ID required. A bag can be delivered to the homebound each week by calling Christine at 549-0259. The Food Pantry is also looking for volunteers.

SHOPPING TRIP —Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. to noon, for seniors who no longer drive. Available to go to Hadley grocery stores and the mall. $4 round trip. Call by Tuesday to reserve your seat.

Osteo Exercise — Tuesday and Thursday, 9:15 a.m.

CONGREGATE MEALS — Served Monday through Friday at 11:45 a.m. Suggested donation, $2. Call 586-1910 two days in advance to reserve.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED — Drivers needed to deliver Meals on Wheels to Hadley seniors, and to work at the center as a congregate meal volunteer. Please call Suzanne at the center.

ARTIST OF THE MONTH — Ed O’Brien of Northampton is a landscape painting instructor at Hill Institute in Florence and has pursued art full time since 1999. O’Brien’s landscape paintings are a blend of various styles and techniques including glazing, color harmonies, stippled dots and impressionistic effects.

​KARATE – Classes in conjunction with Northampton Karate. Instructor Fred Contrada has taught karate, a way to train yourself mentally, physically and emotionally, for many years. Classes meet Tuesdays  April 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. The cost is $30 for Northampton senior residents and $35 for non-resident seniors and those ages 55-59. Pre-registration is requested.

COOKING WITH CARE ONE – April 4, 1 p.m. The menu for this session is Chicken Francais. Free to seniors age 55 and older.

AUTHOR OF THE MONTH – April 5, 1 p.m.  A reading and discussion from “Love in the Time of Climate Change.”

TEA TIME TUESDAYS —Tuesdays at 2:45 p.m. Relax, share in good conversation and enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee. Free to seniors with a scan card.
