The South Hadley baseball team beat Chicopee Comp, 2-1, Monday with some late-inning help from its senior hitters.
Tigers senior Alex Dragon started off the seventh with an infield single and was sacrificed to second by senior Colin Paleologopoulos. Senior catcher David Pratt (2 for 3) then drove Dragon home with an RBI double to tie the game.
Senior shortstop James Foley brought in the winning run with a walk-off single later that inning.
Dragon fired a complete-game one-hitter with three walks and six strikeouts for South Hadley (3-1).
Mohawk 5, Smith Vocational 3 — Stone Mitchell and Ryan York each had a hit and an RBI but the Vikings (2-3) lost on the road.
Matt Hewes pitched six innings for Smith Voke, striking out seven.
Palmer 3, Granby 2 — Sophomore Mallory Beauregard broke up the Panthers’ perfect game when she led off the seventh with her first career home run.
Shortly after Kate Sullivan brought the Rams (1-4) within one on a four-base error, but they couldn’t get the trying run across and fell at home.
Abby Beauregard gave up four hits, two walks and two earned runs while striking out six for Granby.
Monson 8, Frontier Regional 1 — Sarah Meunier was 2 for 3 and Lexa Boyden drove in the only run for the Red Hawks (1-3) on a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
Gateway 31, Renaissance 19 (6) — The Gators came out on top in a high-scoring, error-ridden affair as both teams committed seven miscues.
The Gators (1-0) were led by Chelsea Edinger (1 for 2, five RBIs), Ava Auclair (3 for 4, five RBIs, triple) and Audrey Gamble (3 for 6, three RBIs).
Edinger and Auclair each hit three-run home runs.
Both teams finished with seven errors in the field.
Chicopee Comp 10, Northampton 7 — The Colts scored seven runs in the third to rally from a 4-0 deficit.
Zoe Driscoll-Sbar and Abby Pelis each had two hits and two RBIs, while Anna Connly added two RBIs for the Blue Devils (2-2).
Granby 20, McCann Tech 7 — Nick Roberts scored five times, while Drew Wiesel, Baileu Ortensi and Tre Demers each had three goals for the Rams.
Nick Roberts made 10 saves before giving way to Hunter Scott, who made four.
Chicopee Comp 10, Belchertown 9 (OT) — Max Rivera (four goals) scored on a pass from Brady Seymour to win the game for the Colts less than a minute into overtime.
Ben Magarian led the Orioles with three goals and five assists. Goalie Ryan McCarthy had 15 saves for Belchertown (1-2, 0-1 Suburban).
Minnechaug 3, Belchertown 0 — Anthony Hosmer (11 kills, 2.5 blocks) and Andrew Duquette (two kills, nine assists, one block) led the Orioles (1-4) in their 25-11, 25-20, 25-18 loss.
Williston 17 , Kingswood-Oxford 9 – Led by Aidan Ray’s five goals and one assist, the Wildcats won on the road.
Kevin O’Sullivan won 12 faceoffs for Williston (2-3).
