The Northampton girls lacrosse team stayed unbeaten after a 16-10 win over Granby on Tuesday in Northampton.
The Blue Devils (5-0) got five goals each from Megan McCarthy and Abby Baldwin.
Sophie Melcher added two goals and six assists for Northampton.
Emily Whitacre led Granby (3-2) with five goals, while Kate Sarnacki had five goals and three assists.
McCann Tech 13, Smith Voke 4 – Matt Hewes had the lone RBI for the Vikings in a home loss.
Hunter Brooks and Ryan York both doubled for Smith Voke (2-4).
Frontier 12, Mohawk 1 – The Red Hawks were aggressive on the basepaths all game against the Warriors, stealing six bases, scoring from second on most base hits and stretching from first base to third on singles, as well.
Senior Nate Patterson (five and one third innings, nine strikeouts, three walks) earned the win for Frontier (4-0).
Seniors Seth Gewanter (3-for-4, three RBIs) and Brandon Bryant (3-for-4, three RBIs) led the Red Hawk offense over Mohawk (3-2).
Mahar 10, Belchertown 3 – Jackson Dziel was the only Oriole to have multiple hits against Mahar (3-3).
The senior went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Ethan Barry had the only two RBI’s for the Orioles (1-2).
Mitchell Medina pitched five innings, giving up six hits, five runs and six walks.
Smith Academy 14, Gateway 11 – Ashley Higgins went 3-for-5 for the Falcons with a triple and two RBIs in a road win.
She also scored three runs.
Eighth grader Erin Gilrein also had three hits and two RBIs and a run scored for Smith Academy (1-3, 1-3 Bi-County West).
Chelsea Edinger led Gateway (1-1, 0-1 Bi-County West) with two RBIs.
The Gators only managed two hits against Kayla Miastkowski.
Pope Francis 3, Granby 2 – Krista Jasak’s two-run homer in the fifth inning was the difference in a road win for the Cardinals.
Jordan Kennedy had a two-run double for the Rams (1-5) in the first inning.
Amelia Haradon went the distance, striking out nine for the Pope Francis (3-1).
Southwick 10, Easthampton 0 – The Eagles fell behind after a six-run first inning for the Rams and couldn’t battle back offensively for the rest of the game.
Senior Stephanie Therrien (three walks, five strikeouts) pitched a complete game in the loss.
Sophomore Sierra Rakevitz (2-for-3) and seniors Gabby Downer (1-for -3) and Sydney Slattery (1 for 3) logged all four hits for Easthampton (3-2).
Belchertown 3, Sci-Tech 1 – The Orioles started the game with a loss in the first set 29-27, but won the next three to beat Cybercats.
Senior Anthony Hosmer had 20 kills while junior Matt Davidson had nine for Belchertown (2-4).
