The offense produced and with Alexis Ferris in the circle, it was more than enough for the Hampshire Regional softball team, which beat South Hadley, 14-0, in five innings on the road Tuesday.
The Raiders’ bats pounded out 18 hits in the win.
Taylor Boutwell homered for Hampshire (9-0), while Chelsea Moussette doubled twice with two RBIs.
Ferris allowed two hits and struck out 11.
Abby Edge and Nicole Niemiec had hits for South Hadley (3-8).
West Springfield 18, Belchertown 0 (5) — Hannah Sugrue singled and Lexi Lajuenesse doubled but the Orioles (1-8) fell at home.
Athol 12, Hopkins Academy 5 — Kelsey Cristoforo had two hits and two RBIs but the Golden Hawks lost at home.
Greta Kurtz added a hit and an RBI for Hopkins (1-6). Lauren Sieracki tripled.
Agawam 12, Northampton 0 (5) — Anna Kerwood, Abby Pelis and Calista LeBron all had a hit but the Blue Devils (6-4, 3-1 Valley Wheel) lost at home.
Frontier Regional 13, Mahar 6 — A second inning grand slam by Mindy Esposito powered the Red Hawks past Mahar in a home win.
Kelly Jarvis had four hits and three RBIs for Frontier (4-4).
Granby 16, Monson 5 — Nick Roberts (two assists) scored seven goals, while Tre Demers added three goals and four assists for the Rams (3-5) in a road win.
Sawyer Mahan and Collin Stearns each had two goals, while Noah Bristol (assist) and Drew Wiesel each scored once.
Jack Sarnacki and Corey Hinkley each had two assists.
West Springfield 12, Amherst 9 — A halftime lead dissipated for the Hurricanes in a home loss.
Meghan Sharick scored five goals while Malia MacDonald netted three.
Savannah Robinson had seven saves for the Hurricanes (2-10).
Boys volleyball
Ware 3, Smith Vocational 2 — The Vikings (0-3) were one set away from their first win, but the Indians rallied for the 26-27, 20-25, 25-7, 25-23, 15-10 win.
Jake Wilson-Martineau had 24 digs, 10 assists, seven kills and three aces, while Wendell Padilla-Garcia added 12 kills, six digs and five assists in defeat.
Tyler Top chipped in with eight digs, three kills and a pair of aces, while Malcolm Rayes-Stoneham added six digs and three kills.
Northampton 13, Longmeadow 4 — Emma Landsman had five points and Claire Babbott-Bryan had four as the Blue Devils (3-1) rolled on the road.
Landsman highlighted the match with a layout catch followed by an assist.
