Bluebird
Old Farm Road, Amherst
Photograph and text by Anne E. Ely, South Hadley
Even though bluebirds may be here long before spring, I still think of them as a sign of the season. This fellow didn’t seem to mind the cool breezes that were ruffling his feathers as he sat on a branch in Amherst’s Wentworth Farm conservation area March 30.
Bluebirds are just one of the birds one can see along the easy walking trails on Wentworth Farm which is located off of Old Farm Road and Stanley Street.
This bluebird was captured with a medium length telephoto lens on my tripod mounted DSLR camera.
