Alexis Ferris struck out 13, including the 600th of her career, as the Hampshire Regional softball team clinched its third straight Suburban League championship with a 14-0 six-inning win over Ludlow Wednesday.

Ferris, who walked two and allowed one hit, a single in the sixth, has 608 strikeouts for the Raiders (17-2, 8-0 Suburban). Program-leader Barbara LaFogg has 666.

Danielle McGan (two doubles, two runs) went 4-for-5 with four RBIs, while Chelsea Moussette (RBI) was 3-for-5 with two runs scored for Hampshire.

Smith Academy 18, Gateway Regional 5 (5) — Charlotte Strickland-Vannah (two RBIs), Moira Pitrat (three RBIs) and Erin Gilrein (four RBIs) each had three hits as the Falcons (2-15, 2-9 Bi-County West) cruised in Hatfield.

Kayla Miastkowski (two hits) added four RBIs, while Olivia Cavanaugh (hit) had two. Vanessa Skawski struck out six in the win.

Smith pulled away behind a 12-run fourth inning. The Falcons had 11 hits, all singles.

Alivia Galipeau (two RBIs) and Ava Auclair (RBI) each had a hit for the Gators (4-16, 2-10).

It was the final game for Gateway seniors Gabby Dame, Chelsea Edinger, Kayla Priest, Joanna Arkoette and Galipeau.

Easthampton 10, McCann Tech 9 — The Eagles sent five players to the plate and scored four runs in the seventh to win in walk-off fashion at home.

Trailing 9-6, Olivia Downer doubled to open the frame. Gabby Downer followed with an RBI double, Sydney Slattery had an RBI single and Michelle McDermott had a game-tying RBI double.

Nikki Lewandowski’s sacrifice bunt was overthrown at first base, allowing McDermott to score the winning run from third.

Olivia Downer (three runs) and Gabby Downer each had two hits.

Stephanie Therrien had eight strikeouts for the league champion Eagles (12-6, 11-1 Bi-County West).

Frontier Regional 7, Athol 3 — The Red Hawks scored all their runs in the first two innings and held on in the home win.

Sarah Meunier had three hits and an RBI for Frontier (11-6, 10-3 Franklin). Kelsey Jarvis added two hits and an RBI.

Emma Wesoloski gave up three runs, three hits and struck out three in seven innings.

Ware 11, Pope Francis 0 — The Cardinals (10-7, 7-4 Bi County West) lost their starting pitcher Alexa Keough to a sprained ankle during the loss at home.

The Indians led 1-0 when the injury occurred in the bottom of the third. With a playoff berth clinched, coach Fran LaFond took Keough out of the game as a precautionary measure.

Krista Jasak doubled and Maddie Sutton singled for Pope Francis.

Chicopee Comp 7, South Hadley 1 — The Tigers managed six hits as a team but couldn’t stay with the Colts at home.

Karley Rogers had a hit and a walk for South Hadley(6-13, 2-5 Suburban).

Agawam 9, Amherst Regional 0 — Aliya Bartmon struck out nine and picked up a hit in a road loss.

Megan Rice hit a double and Adele Cousland a single for the Hurricanes (2-16, 0-7 Valley).

Chicopee 11, Belchertown 0 — Emma LeBlanc and Lauren LeBlanc each had a hit, but the Orioles (2-17, 1-6 Valley Wheel) lost at home.

Smith Viocational 11, Westfield Tech 10 — With runners on second and third in the bottom of the seventh, Heather Boudreau’s groundout gave the Vikings a walk-off win at home.

Allie Kowalczyk went 3 for 4 with an RBI for Smith Voke (12-6, 11-4 Tri County), while Amelia Rybinski had three hits with an RBI.

Greenfield 13, Hopkins Academy 1 (5) — Greta Kurtz drove in the Golden Hawks’ run in a road loss.

Erin Tudryn had two hits, and Caroline Judge and Taylor Robbins each had one hit for Hopkins (1-17, 1-13 Franklin).

Baseball

Sci-Tech 9, Smith Vocational 6 — Matt Hewes (RBI), Hunter Brooks (run) and Kevin Wackerbarth (run) each had a hit but the Vikings (7-11, 6-9 Tri-County) fell at home.

Pittsfield 16, Hampshire Regional 3 — Matt York went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI in a home loss.

Everett Warner also had a hit and an RBI, while Steve Moussette singled for the Raiders (8-8).

Greenfield 1, Belchertown 0 — In a pitchers’ duel at Belchertown, the Orioles outhit the Green Wave 3-2 but couldn’t push a run across.

Tanner Clark, Jackson Leduc and Scotty Kopacz each had singles for Belchertown (11-6, 5-4 Hampshire West).

Boys lacrosse

Mount Greylock 16, South Hadley 10 — Griffin Fitzell scored three goals and Marcus Larrier netted two but the Tigers lost at home.

Corey Calkins made 15 saves for South Hadley (5-13)

Longmeadow 21, Amherst 2 — The Hurricanes (7-13) struggled against the Lancers in a road loss.

Granby 19, Stafford (Connecticut) 9 — Sawyer Mahan and Nick Roberts (assist) each scored four goals in a road win for the Rams (9-8).

Drew Weisel had three goals, while Tre Demers and Bailey Ortensi chipped in two goals and two assists each.

Nick Albers made nine saves, and Devin Kwisnek stopped four shots.
