SOUTH HADLEY – Champion soccer player Abby Wambach will speak at Mount Holyoke College this fall.

Wambach will deliver a talk titled “Winning: The Power of Imagination” on Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Chapin Auditorium in Mary Woolley Hall. The event, which will launch the Weissman Center’s “Imagination” lecture series, is for the Mount Holyoke community only, according to a statement from the college.

With 184 career goals, Wambach is the leading scorer in world soccer history. Wambach, who retired in 2015, was a member of the U.S. women’s national soccer team since 2003 where she competed in four FIFA World Cup tournaments and two Olympics tournaments.
