The Amherst Regional girls tennis team may have found a little momentum entering the postseason.
The Hurricanes closed the regular season with a 3-2 win over Pope Francis, Friday at Amherst Regional Middle School.
The win snapped a four-match losing streak for the three-time defending sectional champions.
The Hurricanes swept singles play with Allison McCann (No. 1), Margaret O’Connell (No. 2) and Nya Saunders (No. 3) winning in straight sets.
Tournament seeds will be announced at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sabis International Charter School in Springfield.
