New development adds infrastructure costs

‘Condominium planned for former state hospital …” Over and over we read about developers expanding housing. Great! However, are they subsidizing from their profits the extra burden on our water and sewer needs versus having those of us who do not stand to profit continue to see our rates and taxes go up because of the added burdens? Yes, those residents will pay for their use but the need for increased capacity costs seem to get passed on to the taxpayers. Has there been compensation for the additional necessary capacities in the past. How about going forward? I believe all taxpayers should be provided this kind of information.
