Northampton proud! On a recent Wednesday evening the Academy of Music resounded with a magnificent concert by the JFK Middle School Bands
The seventh and eighth grades were Platinum Award winners in the Great East this year; their performance in town left no doubt as to how their dedication and talent brought this honor home.
“The Great Locomotive Chase” transported the audience along the rails to frenzied delight. Kudos to our fine young musicians. Director Claire-anne Williams called it “magic.” Truly, her patient guidance and brilliant musicianship inspire each individual; their admiration and respect are unmistakable.
The arts certainly pay off in Northampton schools.
