Where does our food come from?

“The Little Farm Show” will tell you in an all-ages musical extravaganza that explores farming, food and the history of agriculture from 10,000 BC to today, using shadow-puppet dinosaurs, a clothesline, flamboyant hats, hip-hop beats, banners, songs and instruments — including guitar, kazoo, accordion and spoons.

Featuring Tannis Kowalchuk and Brett Keyser as the amazing MacDonald Twins, a barn-storming brother and sister team, “The Greatest Show on Dirt!” not only entertains, but challenges audience members to consider their food choices and the effect those decisions have on their bodies, the environment and society.

Presented as part of the Ko Festival of Performance, “The Little Farm Show” is set for a single performance Sunday at 4 p.m. on the lawn of the Amherst College Observatory on Snell Street in Amherst.

$9 adults, $7 children under 12. Bring blankets and lawn chairs, but leave the dogs at home. kofest.com
