HOLYOKE — Holyoke Police reported Thursday night an “ongoing situation” with a 26-year-old man barricaded in a home who reportedly has access to firearms.
Police first received a call at 7:06 p.m. Thursday and the situation continued for several hours.
Police said the identity of the man and the address of the home would not be released Thursday night.
According to police, parts of Homestead Avenue and Upland Road were blocked off during the incident.
The Holyoke Police Department and Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene.
