EASTHAMPTON — Three runs in the top of the seventh gave Southampton a 4-1 win over Easthampton in the 12-and-under Western Massachusetts Suburban Softball League Tournament semifinals, Tuesday night at Nonotuck Park.

Southampton (12-2) will play at West Springfield (14-0) in the finals, Wednesday at Mittneague Park at 6 p.m.

The semifinal game was scoreless until the top of the fifth, when Katelyn Baker scored Southampton’s first run on a passed ball.

Easthampton (11-3) answered in the bottom of the fifth, when Chelsea Indyk scored on a passed ball to tie the game.

In the top of the seventh, Southampton’s Lauren Campbell led off with a single up the third-base line, stole second and third. Katelyn Labrie advanced to first and Campbell scored on a dropped third strike to give Southampton a 2-1 lead.

Labrie and Margot LaPlante each scored a run on a passed ball to give Southampton its 4-1.

Selena Negron had two hits for Easthampton, and Kaelin Damon and Abby McClaflin added one hit each.

Katie Joiner pitched a complete game and struck out 12 to take the win for Southampton.

Indyk pitched a complete game for Easthampton, striking out 18 and walking two.

Frontier 5, Northampton 3 — A four-run sixth inning gave Frontier the edge over Northampton en route to the win in the 14-and-under Western Massachusetts Suburban League tournament semifinal round.

Frontier (9-5) will play at Turners Falls (12-1) at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the finals.

In the top of the sixth, Hailey Bigwood hit a three-run single to give Frontier a 4-3 lead. Mandy Fuller scored another run to widen the gap to 5-3.

Fuller had two hits and scored twice. Gabby Palmisano, Natalie Denkiewicz and Grace Wesoloski each added a hit for Frontier.

Meagan Quinlan took the win on the mound.
