The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has been working against Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign since before the first primary vote was cast. This was abundantly clear with the long list Democratic superdelegates that came out for Hillary, which include, in addition to every Democratic member of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, high-ranking members of the DNC.
In fact, most superdelegates are members of the DNC.
For the press to report that leaked emails support the notion that the DNC has worked to undermine the Sanders campaign is utterly disingenuous. It’s been painfully obvious for quite some time.
Superdelegates frontloaded the delegate count in Clinton’s favor prior to the first primary to create the illusion she was the only viable Democratic candidate. That was a concerted effort to influence voters and the media, the latter of which was declaring her the “presumptive nominee” in the beginning.
Further, it was widely reported that the DNC had a fundraising partnership with Clinton’s presidential campaign.
The fact that Clinton made the Debbie Wasserman Schultz an “honorary chair” of her campaign after she was forced to resign her position as DNC chair, in light of the leaked emails, further supports the notion that the DNC was never neutral.
It has been obvious throughout the primaries that the DNC was never neutral, and was working proactively against Sanders and for Clinton. Nobody should see this as some big revelation.
