One of the best parts of Amherst for me has been the town’s fine representation in the state Legislature with Stan Rosenberg in the Senate and Ellen Story in the House. They care. They work very hard. They represent the town with their values and actions.
That is why they have earned our overwhelming support. Now we have the duty to select a successor for Ellen, who is retiring. I am supporting Sarah la Cour and urge you to vote for her, too.
One of the many reasons I support Sarah is because of her proven experience as director of the Amherst Business Improvement District. She is an important leader in making sure our downtown supports established businesses and welcomes young entrepreneurs so Amherst can continue to grow and thrive.
She gives her honest opinion, she is true to her word and she’s running because she genuinely enjoys serving the public. Not everyone is gifted with the skills of empathy, integrity, competence and conviction.
Sarah has these, and with them she can carry forward the great work of Ellen Story. That is why she has earned my support and that of so many other people.
