I have long suspected that your publishing of Jay Fleitman’s column is similar to Comedy Central’s earlier “Colbert Report.” By presenting a “conservative voice” you appear to be creating balance.
He is “serious” enough to get a regular flow of complaint letters about his views.
If you were serious about presenting alternative views there are a number of excellent examples (i.e. George Will and David Brooks). In our difficult times, it would be a service to present a serious, well-informed, real analysis of conservative thought.
