SOUTH HADLEY — Four cars were broken into Monday at The Orchards Golf Club.
Whoever committed the crime smashed windows in order to retrieve valuables from inside the cars. Police Chief Steve Parentella said there are no suspects in the break-ins, which occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Since the investigation is ongoing, Parentella declined to comment on the items stolen or their value.
“It’s very important at golf courses, sporting events and gyms not to leave valuables in vehicles because they are a target,” said Parentella.
Masslive reported that two vehicles were broken into at Hickory Ridge Golf Club on Aug. 7.
“We heard that Amherst had one but it could just be a coincidence,” said Parentella. “It’s almost constant that we deal with car break-ins.”
